The MF72 series 10D-11 is a directly heated power negative temperature coefficient thermistor designed for precise surge suppression and low-power operation. Its rated zero-power resistance is 10Ω ±20% (tested at 1.5VDC at 25°C), its residual resistance is 0.28Ω, and its material constant B value is 2800K ±10%.
It supports a maximum steady-state current of 3A and is suitable for capacitive loads of 220μF in 240V systems or 820μF in 120V systems. Its thermal characteristics are designed with a 14mW/°C dissipation factor and a 50-second thermal time constant, resulting in a product of 700mW·s/°C, ensuring a balance between efficient thermal response and surge suppression.
The 13mm diameter × 5.5mm thick package is made of phenolic resin and comes standard with 0.75mm diameter CP leads. Four lead configurations are available: inward curvature, outward curvature, side curvature, and straight.
With an operating temperature range of -40°C to +175°C, it is optimized for precision power supplies, measuring instruments, and high-end consumer electronics. The 10Ω nominal resistance accurately limits the charging current of small and medium-capacity capacitors. After self-heating, the resistance quickly drops to 0.28Ω to maintain ultra-low steady-state power consumption. The high 2800K B value ensures temperature response linearity, providing a high-precision startup protection solution for sensitive circuits.
