The MF72 Series 2.5D-13 is a directly heated, power-type negative temperature coefficient thermistor specifically developed to effectively suppress inrush currents generated when electronic devices are powered on. This device has a rated zero-power resistance of 2.5Ω ±20% at 25°C and tested at 1.5VDC. Its B value reaches 2600K, demonstrating excellent temperature response.
This thermistor has a maximum steady-state current of 6A, a dissipation factor of approximately 15mW/°C, and a thermal time constant of approximately 68 seconds, ensuring strong inrush current suppression capabilities. It can support capacitive loads of 680μF in 240V systems or 2700μF in 120V systems.
The MF72 Series 2.5D-13 features a low residual resistance of 0.088Ω and is compact, with a maximum diameter of 15.5mm and a maximum thickness of 6mm. Its wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +200°C makes it suitable for a variety of harsh applications, including switching power supplies, UPS power supplies, electronic energy-saving lamps, and various heaters.
The device is encapsulated in phenolic resin and features CP wire leads. Lead styles are available, including inward-curved, outward-curved, side-curved, and straight leads.
