The MF72 series 30D-15 is a directly heated, power-type negative temperature coefficient thermistor designed to suppress inrush current in electronic devices. This device has a rated zero-power resistance of 30Ω, with a ±20% tolerance, verified at 25°C using a 1.5VDC test voltage. Its maximum steady-state current reaches 3.5A, and its steady-state residual resistance is only 0.438Ω, effectively reducing system power consumption. The material constant B value reaches 2950K with a ±10% tolerance, ensuring stable temperature response. The thermal time constant is approximately 86 seconds, and the dissipation factor is approximately 18mW/°C. The product of these two yields a thermal capacitance of 1548mJ/°C, providing excellent surge suppression capabilities and supporting capacitive loads of 220μF in 240V systems or 820μF in 120V systems.
Its diameter is 16.5mm, thickness does not exceed 6mm, and it features a phenolic resin encapsulation and CP lead structure. The operating temperature covers a wide range of -40°C to +200°C, making it suitable for high-reliability scenarios such as switching power supplies, UPS systems, electronic ballasts, and industrial heating equipment.
