The MF72 series 30D-13 is a directly heated, power-type negative temperature coefficient thermistor designed to suppress power-on inrush current. Its rated zero-power resistance is 30Ω ±20%, tested and calibrated at 25°C and 1.5VDC.
The material constant B value reaches 2950K ±10%, ensuring stability over a wide temperature range. After power is applied, the resistance decays exponentially to a residual resistance of 0.517Ω. It supports a maximum steady-state current of 2.5A and is suitable for capacitive loads of 150μF in 240V systems or 560μF in 120V systems. Its thermal characteristics demonstrate a dissipation coefficient of 15mW/°C and a thermal time constant of 68s.
These together create a heat capacity specification of 1020mJ/°C, providing efficient surge suppression. The compact wafer has a diameter of 15.5mm and a thickness of 6mm. It features a phenolic resin package with 0.75mm diameter CP leads with a 7.5mm pitch. Four mounting options are available: internally curved leads, externally curved leads, side curved leads, and straight leads.
Designed for high-surge applications such as inverters, switching power supplies, and electronic ballasts, the MOSFET operates in temperatures from -40°C to 200°C. It has passed 1000 cycles at 2.5A and 1,000 hours of humidity resistance at 40°C/93% RH, meeting the longevity requirements of industrial equipment.
