The MF72 Series 47D-11 is a power-type negative temperature coefficient thermistor designed to effectively suppress inrush current during startup of electronic devices. It features a rated zero-power resistance of 47Ω ± 20% at 25°C, tested at 1.5VDC.
Its material constant B value is 2950K ± 10%, ensuring excellent temperature response stability. With a thermal time constant of approximately 50 seconds and a dissipation factor of approximately 14mW/°C, this resistor demonstrates excellent surge protection.
It supports a maximum steady-state current of 1.5A and can handle capacitive loads of 100μF in 240V systems or 390μF in 120V systems. With a diameter of 12 ± 1mm and a thickness of 5.5mm, the MF72 Series 47D-11 offers a low residual resistance of 1.02Ω, helping to extend device life and simplify circuit protection design.
With a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +175°C, it is suitable for applications requiring high reliability, such as switching power supplies, uninterruptible power systems, electronic ballasts, and various lighting equipment. The device utilizes a phenolic resin package and CP wire leads. A variety of lead styles are available, including inward-curved, outward-curved, side-curved, and straight leads, to accommodate diverse installation requirements.
