The MF72 series 47D-15 is a directly heated, power-type negative temperature coefficient thermistor. Its primary function is to effectively suppress inrush current during startup of electronic devices. Under test conditions of 25°C and 1.5VDC, this product has a rated zero-power resistance of 47Ω ± 20%. This thermistor features a high material constant B value of 3200K ± 10%, ensuring resistance stability over a wide temperature range. Upon application of power, its resistance rapidly decreases to a residual resistance of 0.68Ω. It can withstand a maximum steady-state current of 3A and is suitable for capacitive loads of 220μF in 240V systems or 820μF in 120V systems. In terms of thermal performance, the MF72 47D-15 boasts a dissipation factor of approximately 18mW/°C and a thermal time constant of approximately 86 seconds. The product is compact, with a maximum diameter of 17.5mm and a maximum thickness of 6mm. It features a phenolic resin package with 0.75mm CP leads and a lead pitch of 10/7.5mm. It supports four mounting styles: inward-curved, outward-curved, side-curved, and straight-curved.
The MF72 47D-15 is suitable for high-inrush current applications such as converters, switching power supplies, UPS power supplies, and various heaters. Its operating temperature range is -40°C to 200°C. It has passed the soldering heat test at 265±3°C for 10±1 seconds.
