The RS1A-RS2A SMA series are surface-mount fast-recovery diodes, utilizing an ultra-thin SMA package with glass-passivated die technology, optimized for automated assembly. The RS1A-RS1M supports an average rectified current of 1A at 125°C, while the RS2A-RS2M increases this to 2A. They cover a reverse voltage range of 50V to 1000V. At 25°C, they offer a low reverse leakage current of only 5μA, a maximum forward voltage drop of 1.3V at 1A, and a low reverse recovery time of 150ns, based on an I/F = 0.5A test condition. The RS1 series withstands a peak surge current of 30A, while the RS2 series reaches 50A, using a single 8.3ms half-sine wave.
The entire series complies with EU RoHS directives, with a thermal resistance of 75°C/W for the RS1 series and 65°C/W for the RS2 series, tested on a 5×5cm copper pad. The maximum package height of 2.2mm and a lightweight design of 0.055 grams significantly save space. Operating temperature range: -55°C to +150°C. Suitable for half-wave rectification circuits with resistive or inductive loads. Capacitive loads require a 20% current derating. These devices are solder certified according to MIL-STD-750 standards. Typical junction capacitance is 15pF for the RS1 series and 22pF for the RS2 series, tested under VR = 4V. These devices provide a highly efficient solution for high-frequency rectification applications in switching power supplies, motor drives, and industrial control equipment.
