The RS1AF-RS3AF SMAF series of surface-mount fast-recovery diodes utilize a SMAF package and are designed for high-current density applications. The series covers reverse voltage ratings from 50V to 1000V, delivering average rectification currents of 1A, 2A, and 3A, respectively, at a case temperature of 125°C, with peak surge currents of 30A, 50A, and 80A. Glass-passivated chip junction technology ensures industrial-grade reliability, with a maximum forward voltage drop of 1.3V and a low reverse leakage current of 5μA at the rated voltage of 25°C. These devices are compliant with EU RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU, and feature a 1.2mm package height and 27mg weight for optimized thermal performance.
The thermal resistance ranges from 80°C/W to 50°C/W based on a standard 5×5cm copper pad. The operating temperature range spans -55°C to +150°C, making them suitable for rectifying high-current resistive or inductive loads. A 20% current derating is required when driving capacitive loads. Key features include a fast reverse recovery time of 150ns to 500ns and a junction capacitance of 15pF to 32pF. MIL-STD-750 Method 2026 soldering certification is available, providing a highly robust solution for rectification applications in motor drives, high-power power supplies, and new energy equipment.
