The US2AB-US3AB SMB series of high-efficiency surface-mount rectifier diodes utilizes the industry-standard SMB package, designed to balance power density and heat dissipation. The series offers two current ratings: the US2AB supports an average rectification current of 2A, while the US3AB increases this to 3A. They cover seven reverse voltage ranges from 50V to 1000V. Ultra-fast recovery technology achieves a reverse recovery time of 50ns and a forward voltage drop as low as 1.0V. A glass-passivated chip junction ensures high-temperature reliability, with a reverse leakage current of only 5μA at the rated voltage of 25°C. The entire series is compliant with EU RoHS directives, and the 2.44mm package height and 0.095g lightweight design optimize space requirements.
Excellent thermal management is achieved, with the US3AB offering a low junction-to-case thermal resistance of 15°C/W and the US2AB offering a typical junction capacitance of only 20pF. Operating temperatures span -55°C to +150°C, the series is suitable for 60Hz half-wave rectification of resistive or inductive loads. Capacitive loads require a 20% current derating. The devices are MIL-STD-750 military standard weld certified and offer non-repetitive peak surge currents of 50A and 90A, respectively. They are suitable for rectifier circuits in telecommunications infrastructure, industrial inverters, and medical equipment power supplies, meeting the efficiency and reliability requirements of medium-power scenarios.
