The US2ABF-US5ABF SMBF series of high-efficiency surface-mount rectifier diodes utilizes an SMBF package and is designed for high-current, high-reliability applications. The series offers three current ratings: the US2ABF supports an average rectified current of 2A, the US3ABF supports 3A, and the US5ABF supports 5A. All series cover seven reverse voltage ranges from 50V to 1000V. Ultra-fast recovery technology achieves a 50ns reverse recovery time and a forward voltage drop as low as 1.0V. A glass-passivated chip junction ensures high-temperature stability, with reverse leakage current as low as 5μA at rated voltage at 25°C. The entire series complies with EU RoHS directives. The compact 1.3mm package and lightweight 57mg design balance heat dissipation and space efficiency.
The thermal resistance performance is enhanced in a step-by-step manner: the US2ABF junction-to-case thermal resistance is 18°C/W, the US3ABF drops to 15°C/W, and the US5ABF reaches 12°C/W, based on standard copper pad testing. Operating temperature ranges from -55°C to +150°C, it is suitable for 60Hz half-wave rectification of resistive or inductive loads. Capacitive loads require 20% current derating. The device is MIL-STD-750 military standard weld certification and offers non-repetitive peak surge currents of 50A, 80A, and 150A, respectively. It is suitable for rectification applications in industrial motor drives, electric vehicle charging modules, and high-power LED drivers, meeting the stringent requirements of high surge withstand and thermal management.
