The S1A to S2A SMA series of surface-mount general-purpose rectifier diodes utilize the standard SMA package design and are optimized for surface-mount applications. The full series covers reverse voltage ratings from 50V to 1000V, including 50V, 100V, 200V, 400V, 600V, 800V, and 1000V versions. At a junction temperature of 125°C, the S1 series supports an average rectifier current of 1A, while the S2 series supports an average rectifier current of 2A. Their corresponding peak surge current ratings are 30A and 50A, respectively, tested using a single 8.3ms half-sine wave with the rated load. Glass-passivated chip junction technology ensures high reliability, with a typical forward voltage drop of 1.1V at 1A and a leakage current of no more than 5μA at the rated reverse voltage at 25°C. Compliant with EU RoHS directives, the maximum package height of 2.2mm and weight of 55mg accommodate standard circuit board layouts.
Thermal resistance is measured using a 5cm×5cm copper pad. The S1 series has a junction-to-ambient thermal resistance of 75°C/W, while the S2 series has a junction-to-ambient thermal resistance of 65°C/W. The operating temperature range spans -55°C to +150°C, making it suitable for single-phase half-wave rectification circuits with resistive or inductive loads. A 20% current derating is required when driving capacitive loads. MIL-STD-750 soldering certification is available, and typical junction capacitance ranges from 15pF to 25pF, providing a cost-effective rectification solution for power adapters, home appliances, and low-voltage control systems.
