The 3RS-5×7.6 series is a three-electrode surface mount gas discharge tube designed to provide symmetrical overvoltage protection for common-mode surge protection of differential signal lines. The series provides multiple DC breakdown voltages from 75V to 600V with a tolerance of ±20%, and its 1kV/μs impulse spark overvoltage range is 600V to 1400V, ensuring accurate common-mode trigger response. The device has an ultra-low inter-electrode capacitance of ≤1pF, which effectively maintains the signal quality of high-speed differential interfaces such as Ethernet and xDSL, while achieving a high insulation resistance of ≥10 GΩ to suppress leakage current. The three-electrode structure supports line-line-ground coordinated protection mode and can handle 5kA common-mode surge current under 8/20μs waveform.
It meets the requirements of ITU-T K.12 standard and provides balanced suppression capability for communication ports. The operating temperature covers -40℃ to +90℃, and is mainly used in differential signal protection and precision power supply systems of broadband routers, network switches, and base station equipment. Its symmetrical electrode design optimizes common-mode noise suppression performance and is suitable for automated reflow soldering processes. The 3RS-5×7.6 series adopts a compact 5mm × 7.6mm surface mount package.
